Policy
- What earns a correction: any factual error in a figure, name, date, or characterization. Material changes are noted at the top of the story with the date; the original error is not silently erased.
- Clarifications (imprecise but not incorrect language) are noted at the foot of the story.
- Response time: correction requests are reviewed within 3 business days; if you're the subject of a record we've flagged, say so — district-verified resolutions update the record.
- Data vs. determination: our screens produce leads for officials to review. A district resolving a lead is an update to the story, not an error in it — and we'll publish the resolution.
